PLAYBACK SCHEDULE FOR STATE SEEDING

For 3^rd & 4^th Seed – March 3rd

Losers of the semi-finals will play for 3^rd & 4^th places at the site of the Higher Seeded team.

FOR 5TH, 6^TH 7^TH & 8^TH SEEDS, PLAY DATES WILL BE

FEBRUARY 28 & MARCH 3, 2012

Losers of the Quarter-Finals will play each other in the following manner: The loser of game # 25 will play the loser of game #26 and the loser of #27 will play the loser of game # 28 on Tuesday February 28^. The winner of the games will play for 5^th & 6^th Places and the losers of those games will play for 7^th & 8^th places on Saturday, March 3rd at a site at home of the Higher Seeded Team. Game #’s can be found on the brackets on the District Website.

FOR THE 9^TH SEED

February 24, 28, March 2

On Friday, February 24^th -the losers of games # 17 and 18, of #19 and 20, of 21 and 22 and of 23 and 24 will play each other at the site of the higher seed in a single game elimination format. On Tuesday, February 28 , the winner of 17/18 will play the winner of 19/20 and the winner of 21/22 will play the winner of 23/24. These games will also be played at the site of the higher seeded team. On Friday, March 2, the winner of the games played on February 28 will play for the 9^th spot at site TBA.

FOR 3^RD SEED

MARCH 3

The 3^rd place in AAA classifications will be determined on Saturday, March 3rd by a game between the losers of their semi-final at site TBA

Both teams in the District Final will advance to the State Playoffs

SITES / TIMES: The District Committee has approved the Home Court advantage to higher seeded teams prior to the semi - final round in all classifications. The Home Court advantage will be granted provided that it meets agreed upon conditions approved by the District One Basketball Committee.

All classifications will play their semi-final games as a doubleheader at a neutral site.

All playback games will be played at the home of the higher seeded team with the exception of any game that will determine qualifying for the State Tournament.(AAAA 9^th

Doubleheader - l P.M. & 2:30 P.M.

Evening - Single Game 7 P.M.

METHOD OF SEEDING

The seeding of 4A & 3A teams participating in District Basketball Tournament is determined by a Power Rating System (defined below). 2A teams will be seeded in conjunction with District 12. 1A teams will be seeded by a separate District Committee. Each classification will have a specific final play date after which the teams will have their power rating average computed.

All of the schools on your schedule are now included in

The POWER RATING is determined by dividing the sum of the win points, schedule points, and bonus points by the number of the games you played.
